USA 11X14 Standard Level 3+ RF2 Ceramic Body Armor Plate

  

WARNING: Sellers offering 6 pound 11" x 14" plates are offering products that are built with super wide foam edges (and not ceramic). To retain a 25mm foam edge, the plate would weigh between 7.5 - 8 pounds in an RF2 configuration.

If they cannot - the plate is NOT an RF2 plate meeting the NIJ's latest standard: 0101.07. We use the same, high-quality ceramic mosaic tile pieces in ALL of our products, regardless of the location of assembly. Our alumina ceramic is not less than 99% pure, 3.84 gcm3. NIJ certified lab report weights may indicate less than what is in our plate.

That is because we use more of the same ceramic in a larger armor plate. Please make SURE that these plates will fit before ordering. This model complies with NIJ Standard 0101.06 for Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor. This model complies with NIJ Standard 0101.07 for Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor. We don't sell 6 month old stock.

All of our plates are less than 30 days old and BRAND NEW. Ballistics testing included (6) shots against the powerful 7.62mm x 51mm M80 projectile.

This test included DROP testing and submerged water testing (see test report for details). Note that this is not an inexpensively manufactured 11"x14" armor plate with a foam edge and questionable backing material. This is a standard ceramic armor plate (20mm hard rubber edge) of high quality and excellent stopping power bonded with 100% American made adhesives (including source materials).

Remember that the new RF2 category (0101.07) REQUIRES resistance against the 7.62mm x 51mm (M80) and other threats. He is not complying with the new 0101.07 standard. The new standard requires resistance against the following threats. 7.62x51mm M80 Ball NATO FMJ Steel Jacket 147 +0/-3 grain. Military supply or rounds meeting NATO specifications.

7.62x39mm MSC Ball Ammunition Type 56 from Factory 31. Factory 31 Ammunition evaluated and meeting the requirements of Appendix A. NIJ Ammunition Audit Process -- of the standard. 5.56mm M193 56 +0/-2 grain.

5.56mm M855 61.8 ± 1.5 grain. This armor plate has been tested in accordance with NIJ 0101.06 AND NIJ 0101.07 standards. Unlike other sellers, we have tested our ceramic against every RF2 threat detailed under the new NIJ 0101.07 standard. NIJ 0101.07 Section 12 allows the armor participant to choose the number of shots per panel. We chose to show our ceramic defeating 6 rounds of 7.62 x 51mm - PLUS resistance against every other RF2 threat identified in 0101.07.

Our armor plate line meets both NIJ 0101.06 and NIJ 0101.07 standards for the challenging RF2 category (special threat). For more information, please refer to our testing reports. Standard: NIJ RF2 Rifle Plate. Ballistic Material: Alumina ceramic with UHMWPE backer plate. Ballistic Performance: 7.62x39mm AK47 MSC, 7.62X51mm M80 5.56X45 SS, 109/M855 (penetrator)/M193, multi-hit capable. We have also tested against the M855A1. Outer Material (cover): Durable black waterproof nylon with plate edge padding and strike face rubberized coating.

Shelf Life: Minimum 5 years. Plates can be used as front or rear plates. Make sure that the STRIKE FACE (see ballistic tag) is situated toward the threat and the plate(s) is carried in a quality vest or carrier. Superior mosaic ceramic configuration (as opposed to monolithic) allows for multi-hits without performance deterioration of surrounding ceramics. This is NOT a military item (not issued by a military entity). This is a level III hard armor SAPI cut plate (non-military). This item is manufactured by GTS in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We comply with every line of the policy. Items identified on the US Munitions List found in the ITAR Part 121 that are allowed such as commercially available body armor, firearm scopes, and night vision goggles must follow all applicable laws and meet all of the following criteria. Body armor is allowed if. It isn't military issued (complied with - see above). It's a level I, II, or III body armor or Small Arms Protection Insert (SAPI) plate which is included in the listing (complied with - see above).
