Set 30.06 RF2 Ceramic Armor Plates
GILLIAM TECHNICAL SERVICES (GTS) - EMERALD ISLE, NC - UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. GTS has been in the armor business for 18 years. Please make SURE that these plates will fit before ordering. This model complies with NIJ Standard 0101.06 for Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor. This model complies with NIJ Standard 0101.07 for Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor. We put our Level 3+ plate up against the strongest NIJ testing threat - the 30.06 and passed. 4 shots from the 30.06 were resisted with 3 of those being under the 44mm NIJ backface deformation limit (only 1 passing shot is necessary for a passing test). Our testing reports (see attached) even include the backing plate used behind the ceramic at the HG2 level. Tested against (ALL RF2 threats, PLUS 30.06 M2AP). This listing is for TWO plates with BLACKED OUT front covers. Size: 10" wide x 12" tall. Partial rubber and polyethylene edge.
In addition to the rifle protection available in our plates - the edges of our plates are also resistant at the HG2 (old NIJ 3a level). Standard: NIJ RF2 (NIJ Level III+ Rifle Plate). Ballistic Material: Alumina ceramic with UHMWPE backer plate. Ballistic Performance: 30.06 (7.62x63mm), 7.62x39mm AK47 MSC, 7.62X51mm M80, M855 (penetrator), M193, multi-hit capable.
Outer Material (cover): Durable black waterproof nylon with plate edge padding and strike face rubberized coating. Shelf Life: Minimum 5 years, 10 year maximum. Plates can be used as front or rear plates.
Make sure that the STRIKE FACE (see ballistic tag) is situated toward the threat and the plate(s) is carried in a quality vest or carrier. Superior mosaic ceramic configuration (as opposed to monolithic) allows for multi-hits without performance deterioration of surrounding ceramics. This is NOT a military item (not issued by a military entity).
This is a level III hard armor SAPI cut plate (non-military). This item is manufactured by GTS in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
We comply with every line of the policy. Items identified on the US Munitions List found in the ITAR Part 121 that are allowed such as commercially available body armor, firearm scopes, and night vision goggles must follow all applicable laws and meet all of the following criteria. Body armor is allowed if. It isn't military issued (complied with - see above). It's a level I, II, or III body armor or Small Arms Protection Insert (SAPI) plate which is included in the listing (complied with - see above).
