Routinely tested with a variety of ballistics - latest with 7.62x39mm ammunition. This GTS plate is made with Alumina ceramic tiles with a Ultra-High-Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) backing. Weight: 5 pounds each (some competitors' plates weigh less for same material = thinner and more backface deformation). Stand-Alone, no supplementary ballistic materials required to reach protection level.

Size: 10" x 12" Shooter's Cut. Standard: NIJ III Rifle Plate. Ballistic Material: Alumina ceramic with our own, GTS UHMWPE density spec backing.

Ballistic Performance: 7.62X39mm AK47 MSC, 7.62X51mm M80, 5.56 x 45 SS 109/M855/M193 rifle ammo, multi-hit capability. Shape: Single curved, shooter's cut. Outer cover material: Durable black waterproof nylon with plate edge padding. Shelf Life: Minimum 5 years. Face shields and armor plates are manufactured in stated size only.
