Our proprietary Big Boy cut oversized 12x14 plates are made from Armox Steel, which was designed for armor, unlike AR500 steel. This allows our 12x14 steel plates to weigh up to three lbs less PER PLATE than the smaller 11x14 AR500 plates! Armox steel is more costly to manufacture, and requires more work to cut and finish.

The end result, however, is a superior armor plate that can be worn for hours without fatigue. The design of our armor allows for unlimited mobility, while offering increased surface area versus shooter's cut. These plates are NOT curved, they are flat, providing more coverage without compromising the strength of the metal.
