The Hudi's Tactical Level III+ Ballistic Armor Side Plate weighs in at only 1.6 pounds each and measures 6"x8". Featuring a slim 0.7 profile and ergonomic curvature. They're a great match to the Level 3+ plates in another listing. All plates were made to order in Oct 2020. The plates are made from ceramics with a polyethylene backplate (itself rated at Level IIIA).

We tested the larger version with 2 rounds of 7.62 NATO M80, 2 rounds of 5.56 M193 and 2 rounds of 5.56 M855. None of them penetrated the plate. The only significant deformation is when a 7.62 NATO round struck 1.5 from the edge. Material: Ceramics + Polyethylene (UHMWPE).
