DESCRIPTION : This is a set of two LAPG lvl III alumina carbide plates (NOT NIJ CERTIFIED). There is some cosmetic damage (fraying) at the edges of the padding from minor use, it was only ever used walking around during daily life or sitting in a backpack, never crawling or running drills or hitting the ground hard, which could've compromised the ceramic. More information : Depending on what YouTube video review you watch of them they may be misrepresented in their abilities, simply search "LAPG lvl 3" into YouTube and you'll find some reviews/tests. Honest review : Full disclosure these came with a "Made in China" sticker on the packaging when I got them. The ceramic doesn't cover "edge to edge" so for about an inch at the edge the plate is pure polyethylene (sort of like Kevlar but better at stopping bullets when laminated in a hard plate).

In my honest opinion these are far better than nothing, but if you are looking for a spare set of plates to fill out a plate carrier maybe for someone else (providing you have a set for yourself) look no further than the relatively affordable LAPG lvl III plates. Package: Very sturdy but well worn MRE ration box full of styrofoam packing. The plates themselves are wrapped in a large plastic bag.
